CK Polymers offer a range of rGrade (recycled / recyclable) plastic raw materials for conversion via
normal plastic recycling and conversion processes into recycled plastic compounds or new recycled products.
What are rGrade plastics? More ↓
In recent times it has been common to call recycled PET and recycled HDPE compounds
(usually produced from recycled bottles) as rPET and rHDPE respectively.
The term "rGrade plastics" is an extension to this and essentially refers to any plastic
raw materials that have been or can be recycled.
These are materials that may be derived from production waste from the processing of plastic
products, but more usually will be waste plastics derived from plastic products at the end of
their first useful life.
rGrade plastics will typically have been processed in some way, either to densify them
(such as the compacting of EPS fish boxes or baling of packaging film).
rGrade can also be used to refer to recycled plastic compounds which have pigments and product
enhancing additives compounded in to produce a high quality and more consistent product for
processing compared to basic regrind.
The following are typical examples of rGrade plastic raw materials that CK Polymers have available
on a regular basis, if the material you require is not listed please contact us via our contact
form or tel 0845 873 1137.

These materials are checked through our material testing laboratory for physical properties and can
be supplied with a certificate of analysis on request.
Each of these material groups is generally available in a range of viscosities (i.e. Injection
moulding grade or extrusion grade) and in a range of colours.
