Using the latest Fourier Transform Infra-Red (FTIR) spectrometry technology we are able to quickly identify plastic types from the waste stream.

All that is required for the test is a tiny piece of the plastic sample.

It is placed into the FTIR test equipment and clamped down to ensure a good surface contact between the machine and the sample.

The machine then fires a beam of Infra Red light from a laser at the sample and measures the absorbtion of the light. By comparing these results with a library it is able to determine the material type.

By offering a plastic ID service to our suppliers and recycling partners we are able to reduce the number of cases of material cross contamination during the reycling process.
